One of the most interesting initiatives in alternative media – anywhere – is OhmyNews and it illustrates what some consider to be a viable model for citizen journalism. In December 2007 the Berkman Center for Internet & Society published a study about OhmyNews, prepared by Mary Joyce, as part of its program related to the Internet and democracy. I recommend this case study to persons concerned with alternative media and/or citizens journalism.
